The TT Sabiki UTG rod is designed for jigging sabiki rigs when gathering bait, with the rig able to be wound up inside the rod (UTG = “up the guts”) to minimise snagging and tangling when not in use. Built from the ground up to overcome the shortcomings of traditional sabiki rods, it’s a touch longer so longer sabiki chains stow completely inside the blank, with a slimmer design that improves the action of the rod and the fish-catching action of the jig.
The two-piece design uses a butt join — rather than the traditional join above the bottom guide — for smoother line feeding and no swivel snagging. The uniquely designed tip also removes the snag points found both outside and inside the tip on standard sabiki rods. Suits both spin and overhead reels.
