These terms apply to purchases made on advancedfishing.com.au and in our Liverpool and Chipping Norton stores. By placing an order you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Orders and pricing
- All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
- An order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation. We may cancel and refund an order if an item is out of stock, if there is an obvious pricing or listing error, or if we suspect fraud. We will tell you if this happens.
- Stock on the website is shared with our two stores. In the rare case an item sells in store before your online order is picked, we will contact you to offer an alternative, a backorder or a full refund.
- Product images are for illustration; colours and packaging may vary slightly from what is shown.
Payment
Payments are processed securely by Square. We accept major credit and debit cards. Your card is charged when you place the order.
Shipping
- Standard delivery within Australia is free on orders over $100; a flat rate applies to orders under $100 and is shown at checkout.
- Rods and other long or oversize items cannot go by standard post. For these we will contact you after purchase with a freight quote before anything is sent; you can accept the quote, collect from a store instead, or cancel for a full refund.
- Orders are dispatched from our Liverpool store, usually within 1–2 business days. Delivery times depend on the carrier and your location.
- Free in-store pickup is available at either store – choose it at checkout and wait for our “ready for pickup” email.
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check your parcel on arrival and tell us within 48 hours if anything is damaged in transit.
Returns, exchanges and refunds
- Change of mind: we do not refund for change of mind. We will exchange or give store credit for unused items in original packaging returned within 30 days with proof of purchase. Return postage for change-of-mind returns is at your cost.
- Faulty or incorrect items: if a product is faulty, not as described, or not what you ordered, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law. Contact us first so we can arrange the return and cover reasonable return postage.
- Line, bait, consumables and items that have been used, rigged or fished with cannot be exchanged for change of mind.
- Manufacturer warranties on rods, reels and electronics are in addition to your consumer-law rights; we will help you lodge a warranty claim with the Australian distributor.

Promotions and discounts
Promotional prices and automatic cart discounts (for example multi-buy squid jig offers) apply only while the promotion is running and cannot be combined with other offers unless stated. Coupon codes are single use unless otherwise specified.
Gift cards and store credit
Store credit issued for returns is valid for three years and can be used online or in store. It cannot be redeemed for cash.
Fishing licences and regulations
You are responsible for holding a valid NSW recreational fishing licence where required and for complying with bag limits, size limits and closed seasons. Information is available from NSW DPI Fisheries.
Website use
Content on this site, including product descriptions, guides, tools and images, is owned by or licensed to Advanced Fishing and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. We do our best to keep information accurate but do not guarantee the site will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to goods purchased from us is limited to replacing the goods, repairing them, or refunding the price paid. This does not exclude any guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
