We’ll message you when your order is ready. Collection is the quickest option for rods and anything long or awkward.
Long items over 1.05 m
Most rods, and anything else longer than 1.05 m, are past Australia Post’s maximum parcel length. They have to travel as oversized freight, and carriers charge more for them.
You won’t see this at checkout — we check every order before it’s packed. If yours includes a long item, here’s what happens:
- Place your order as normal. You pay only what’s shown at checkout.
- We check the freight cost to your address and contact you with the exact figure before anything is dispatched.
- You choose: pay the difference, switch to free click & collect from either store, or cancel that item for a full refund.
Nothing ships and nothing extra is charged until you’ve said yes. If the freight cost turns out to be covered by what you’ve already paid, we just send it.
Bulky items
Some items are awkward or heavy to send even when they’re well under 1.05 m — large buckets, cooler and cooling bags, big tackle boxes, and similar. These are handled exactly the same way as long items: if the freight cost is more than standard shipping covers, we’ll contact you with the exact figure before dispatch, and you can pay the difference, collect free from either store, or cancel for a full refund.
You’ll never be charged more than what’s shown at checkout without agreeing to it first.
Dispatch times
We dispatch every order the next business day. Orders placed on a Friday, over the weekend, or on a public holiday go out the next business day after that — usually Monday.
For items over 1.05 m, the next-business-day clock starts once you’ve confirmed the freight cost with us, not from when the order was placed.
Delivery time after dispatch depends on the carrier and your address.
