Shimano SLX

Description

The Shimano SLX is a no-nonsense baitcaster built for anglers who want reliable, smooth performance without paying flagship money. The Hagane body keeps the frame rigid under load, protecting the internal components when you’re fighting fish or casting all day. Silent Tune ensures the spool and drive gear are precision-aligned from the factory, contributing to the SLX’s noticeably smooth retrieve out of the box. The SVS braking system gives you straightforward, consistent cast control whether you’re throwing soft plastics, hard bodies or bladed jigs. With a 5–5.5 kg drag, compact 195 g frame and a choice of 6.3:1 or 7.2:1 gear ratios to suit different presentations, the SLX punches well above its price point for both fresh and saltwater use. It’s a genuine workhorse reel at an honest price. Available in store at our Liverpool and Chipping Norton stores, or order online for Australia-wide delivery.
