Description
The Shimano Torium Jigger is a purpose-built overhead reel designed for serious slow-pitch and vertical jigging in Australian waters. Built around Shimano’s High Efficiency Gearing (HEG) for smooth, powerful cranking under load, it pairs Cross Carbon Drag with X-Protect water resistance and A-RB bearings to handle the demands of reef and offshore work. The 1500HGA suits lighter jig applications targeting snapper, amberjack and similar species, while the 2000HGA steps up with an 11 kg drag and larger line capacity for working heavier jigs on deeper structure. Both models offer a high gear ratio for fast retrieves and a solid aluminium frame built to last. Whether you’re chasing bottom-dwellers on the continental shelf or working mid-water on the edges, the Torium Jigger delivers reliable, responsive performance at a genuine price point. Available in store at our Liverpool and Chipping Norton stores, or order online for Australia-wide delivery.
