Description
The Shimano Speedmaster LD is a purpose-built lever drag overhead reel designed for serious offshore work. Available in six sizes from 8 to 25, it covers everything from lighter jigging and live baiting inshore to heavy-duty trolling and bottom bashing in deeper water. The Hagane body provides a rigid, corrosion-resistant frame that holds up under sustained load, while the Cross Carbon drag system delivers smooth, consistent pressure across the full range. Super Free Spool reduces bearing resistance during the cast or drop, giving you a cleaner presentation and better depth control. The two-speed gearing is the real workhorse feature — high speed for fast retrieves and working lures, low speed for grinding up big fish or heavy leads from depth. Solid bearings, sensible retrieve rates, and a proven drag system make this one of the most reliable mid-range overhead reels on the Australian market. Available in store at our Liverpool and Chipping Norton stores, or order online for Australia-wide delivery.
