Description
The Abu Garcia Max SX is a solid entry-level spinning reel that punches well above its price point. Built around Abu’s V-Rotor and Rocket Spool Lip design, it delivers smooth, consistent line lay and strong casting performance whether you’re throwing plastics for bream and flathead or working lures along the rocks. Six stainless steel ball bearings plus one roller bearing keep things running smoothly, while the Rocket Line Management System reduces tangles and wind knots. With a 5.2:1 gear ratio across all four sizes and max drag ranging from 3.2kg on the 2500 up to 9.1kg on the 6000, there’s a model to suit light estuary work right through to heavier surf and land-based fishing. At under a hundred dollars, the Max SX is a practical, reliable option for anglers who want Abu Garcia quality without the premium price tag. Available in store at our Liverpool and Chipping Norton stores, or order online for Australia-wide delivery.
