Description
Hit the water ready to chase squid with this purpose-built Daiwa Emeraldas X egi combo — rod, reel and line, pre-spooled and ready to fish straight out of the box.
At the heart of it is the Daiwa Emeraldas X LT2500-XH, a light, fast spinning reel built specifically for egi fishing, with a high-speed retrieve that’s ideal for working jigs with sharp, responsive flicks and quickly picking up slack between rips. It’s matched to the Daiwa Emeraldas X 86M rod — a dedicated 8’6″ egi rod with the length to cast jigs a country mile and the tip action to impart the darting, fluttering jerks that fire up squid.
We’ve pre-spooled it with Siglon PE ADV x8 in Turquoise Blue (12 lb), a smooth, sensitive 8-carrier braid that casts well, telegraphs every twitch back to your hand, and stays highly visible so you can watch your line for those subtle takes.
Whether you’re flicking jigs off the rocks, the wharf or the boat, this combo is a complete, balanced squid setup ready to go. Available in store at our Liverpool and Chipping Norton stores, or order online for Australia-wide delivery.
