Shimano Tyrnos

Description

The Shimano Tyrnos is a purpose-built lever drag overhead reel designed for serious offshore and game fishing. Constructed around a rigid Hagane body, it resists flexing under load to keep your gear train running smoothly when a big fish peels line. High Efficiency Gearing ensures consistent power transfer, while A-RB corrosion-resistant bearings stand up to the salt environment. The Twin Pawl Anti-Reverse delivers a rock-solid hookset with zero back-play. Available in 16, 20 and 30 sizes, the Tyrnos suits everything from light game and yellowfin tuna through to heavier reef and pelagic work. With 15 kg of drag across the range and a proven 5:1 gear ratio, it offers a sensible balance of speed and grunt for Australian offshore conditions. Available in store at our Liverpool and Chipping Norton stores, or order online for Australia-wide delivery.
